Beginner's Embroidery Workshop With Kasia Jacquot

Learn the art of embroidery and create your own personalized, handmade treasures in this immersive workshop!

In this one-day workshop Kasia will cover eight different stitches which are all you will need to create any of her patterns and to continue creating your own unique projects. A big focus is on letting go of perfection and learning to stitch in a relaxed manner to create bold results without fuss or complexity. Students will follow a pattern and colours expertly selected by Kasia to enable more time to be spent on stitching and practice. The stitches students learn incorporate solid and semi-solid fills, outlines, a variety of leaves and isolated stitches as embellishments.
A wonderfully immersive experience, perfect for absolute beginners and those wanting to learn Kasia’s unique style of embroidery.

Kasia's designs are inspired by her Polish heritage and her love for folk art and embroidery. With her background in graphic design and fine art, she has created designs that are not only visually stunning but also easy to stitch. Kasia's joy lies in teaching others to create their own handmade treasures, fostering a sense of fulfillment and beauty in every stitch. She emphasizes the magic of mindful creativity, free from unnecessary complications, and celebrates the unique charm found in imperfections.

By the end of the workshop, you can expect to confidently use an embroidery hoop, thread a needle with all six strands, and select colors for your projects without feeling overwhelmed. You'll know which stitches to use for different pattern details and how to blend colors to create your own unique combinations. You'll also learn how to modify a simple embroidery pattern and transfer it onto fabric. Plus, you'll leave with a ton of inspiration to fuel your future projects. Kasia also brings with her many of her own pieces, samples and beautifully stitched items, like bags, zipper pouches, journal covers and even quilts! Students will have time to look at everything, get inspired and take photos as well as buy embroidery kits and threads at the end of the workshop.

Cancellation Policy: Due to the limited number of spaces for workshops, all bookings are final and strictly non refundable. We do not refund classes but you are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day. Since Kasia is a special guest teacher it is not possible to reschedule the workshop to another day. In most of our workshops we require a minimum number of people to run the workshop and will do our absolute best to run every workshop we list but occasionally it is not commercially feasible to do so. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we may cancel the class; in this case, we'll inform you and allow you to get a full refund or reschedule.
