Design Your Own Wooden Flower Workshop with Sophie Cooper

Create your own flowers and leaves that are eco-friendly and last forever!

In this exciting new workshop delivered by guest artist and esteemed graphic designer Sophie Cooper, you will be able to choose from a variety of flower and leaf shapes, each custom laser-cut from beautiful Australian plywood. You will explore the use of colour and pattern to create your own special and unique designs. Experiment with both sides to make different arrangements using a variety of materials.

Sophie, your teacher, is a graphic designer, illustrator, educator, and maker and owner of Scoops Design. When she is not working in her studio, Sophie is teaching in Visual Communication at University. She loves sharing her knowledge about drawing, typography, and image-making with students.

This is an opportunity to tap into your creativity, indulge in a few hours of joy, and leave with a beautiful arrangement that will last forever.

No matter your skill level, this workshop welcomes everyone—from beginners seeking a creative outlet to experienced artists looking to push their boundaries. Whether you're into mixed media, eager to explore new techniques, or just want to have some fun expressing yourself through art and design, this workshop promises to ignite your inspiration and bring joy to your artistic journey.

At Made By Me Workshop we believe craft is as much about creativity as it is about connection, in our workshops you have the opportunity to meet new friends, share a few stories, laugh with each other and simply enjoy some time out for yourself. We have coffee and tea making facilities as well as a few snacks to sustain you through the workshop but if you prefer barista-made coffee, you can grab one from Aslan Cafe, just a short stroll away.

Participants will get:

All supplies will be provided, including your choice of flowers and leaves, paint, and brushes. You will leave with 3 beautiful flowers and/or leaves to display at home.

Price: $120

Cancellation Policy: Due to the limited number of spaces for workshops, all bookings are final and strictly non refundable. We do not refund classes but you are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day. Since Sophie is a special guest teacher it may not be possible to reschedule the workshop to another day but with a minimum 5 days notice we will do our best to reschedule to another date or an alternative workshop. In most of our workshops we require a minimum number of people to run the workshop and will do our absolute best to run every workshop we list but occasionally it is not commercially feasible to do so. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we may cancel the class; in this case, we'll inform you and allow you to get a full refund or reschedule.
