Drawing With Pattern Workshop with Sophie Cooper

Learn the relaxing art of drawing with patterns!

Do you love patterns? Do you enjoy doodling and drawing while on the telephone or in meetings? Are you looking for a new hobby and a way to relax and have fun after work? If so, this is the right class for you.

Your instructor, Sophie Cooper, has been doing this type of drawing for over 35 years and will guide you to create your own versions. The class includes everything you need to get started, as well as inspiration and tips so you can extend your new drawing skills after the class has finished. No drawing experience is necessary.

Sophie is a graphic designer, illustrator, educator, and maker and owner of Scoops Design. When she is not working in her studio, Sophie is teaching in Visual Communication at University. She loves sharing her knowledge about drawing, typography, and image-making with students.

At Made By Me Workshop we believe craft is as much about creativity as it is about connection, in our workshops you have the opportunity to meet new friends, share a few stories, laugh with each other and simply enjoy some time out for yourself. We have coffee and tea making facilities as well as a few snacks to sustain you through the workshop but if you prefer barista-made coffee, you can grab one from Aslan Cafe, just a short stroll away.

Participants will get:

All supplies will be provided, including a sketchbook and fineliners to work with. You will bring home everything you create. There is no need to bring anything except your excitement to learn something new! Feel free to bring your own wine & snacks, we have glassware as well as plates & cutlery sand you don't have to clean up!

Price: $100

Cancellation Policy: Due to the limited number of spaces for workshops, all bookings are final and strictly non refundable. We do not refund classes but you are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day. Since Sophie is a special guest teacher it may not be possible to reschedule the workshop to another day but with a minimum 5 days notice we will do our best to reschedule to another date or an alternative workshop. In most of our workshops we require a minimum number of people to run the workshop and will do our absolute best to run every workshop we list but occasionally it is not commercially feasible to do so. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we may cancel the class; in this case, we'll inform you and allow you to get a full refund or reschedule.
